MIT Robotic Cheetah

MIT Robotic Cheetah

MIT researchers have developed an algorithm for bounding that they’ve successfully implemented in a robotic cheetah. (Learn more:

The MIT Cheetah 2 contains the custom electric motor designed by Jeffrey Lang, the Vitesse Professor of Electrical Engineering at MIT and the amplifier designed by David Otten, a principal research engineer in MIT’s Research Laboratory of Electronics.

This work was supported by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

  2. great you think that’s neat and cool wait till they perffect that thing and mount machine guns and missiles to it…… you’ll really like it then. god help us

  3. Really? All that time, cash, research, and endless hours studying. This is what you guys came up with…

  4. Amazing and inspiring work!!
But this kind of cracked me up – “We would like our robots to run fast like cheetah” – @0:52 – the background music XD.

other one tracking the Sun alive above Flat Earth a.subitras
    ~
    if is this GE
it would be impossible to read such data
    ~
proven FE for some 2€ with lot enthusiasm and not sleep and some fine peoples who are busy
    – non proven Globe Earth for 52 million dollars per day
    – only lot CGI
    – and a feeling like donkey
    ~
    is not more question
    – is this FE or GE
    – is now question how you feel
    – still human or not
    ~
it must be something like donkey
    ~
that`s my advice to FE peoples
    – do not talking with them about FE or not
    – talking with them how it is with them what they feels is everything ok with them
    ~
    100% proven Flat Earth
    – read data the Netherlands
    – read data GB
    – data say Flat Earth because the Netherlands is more north then on Globe Earth
    – just would be impossible to get such something
    ~
    copy paste for Michio Kaku

    – because you are only the things
    ~

    – but how more they growing so much you become nothing or stupidity
    – get latter reputation in world
    – do not entering you become stupid
    ~
has you never ever busy with calculate power of internet or not
    – and how much it goes fast

  7. a cheetah has a very flexible body. u certainly can’t expect that from a robot made of metal.

  8. Good job MIT!!, I cant wait to work with you on what comes next in A.I., peace and love, Doug.

  9. PLEASE STOP INVENTING what already exist in nature. Your inventions LAME TO THE CORE! Instead invent things to support nature to expand further! STOP INVENTING NOW. THE MORE YOU INVENT THE MORE CRINGE the world becomes. The world need out-of-the-box innovators, not these! I rather get and train 10 cheetahs in the wild than invent these crooked piece of machines.

  10. what’re the key differences between mechanical and mechatronic product design?
