  1. Wonderful! I am also first generation but with both parents speaking I now speak fluently. But now oddly as my memory fails I can think of the Italian for the word but cant for the life of me remember the english. La vecchiaia è terribile, corretto???

  2. San Francisco.Mauro, thank you for this important video about Ferlinghetti, poet & writer.I was close friend of some of his friends , two legends : poet Dario Bellezza ( he said publicly I was his best interpreter) and Fernanda Pivano who gave to Italy the Beat Generation through her magnificent translations.Look at my youtube videos I think I had the opportunity to speak about her, maybe concerning Neo-realism cinema and my close friend Carlo Lizzani , an other Italian legend friend of Pivano

  3. Hallo Lawrence, I’m Walter Pescara. What a story the police custody in Carmine district of Brescia while you were discovering the house where your father was born in 1872 ! The policemen arrive, becomes suspicious and ask you the documents. You had not them with you as you left them at Francesco Conz home in Verona and policemen threatened to take you to the police station for questioning. The reportage photographs made history !
