The Algae.Tec photo bio-reactors use water, sunlight and nutrients to grow algae that produces high-value sustainable fuels such as biodiesel and jet fuel.

Facilities are being constructed at Nowra south of Sydney, Australia and the Holcim manufacturing plant in Sri Lanka. Roll-out plans include sites in China, Germany and USA.

  1. Its funny how people wanted Middle east to suffer while they themselves also been doing this.

  2. Pressing is the cold process way of extracting the oil. You can also separate oil( tar) and gas by high heat and water. Without using chemicals.

  3. As a diesel user I keep hearing these reports but don’t see any results. I still burn diesel made from crude oil.

  4. Amazing any idiot would believe this BS. I want to see just one shipping container made watertight. The pressure would blow it out. I was growing algae in solar bioreactors and could only make 2 gallons of diesel on a good day. Some days nothing at all. The algae was cracked by concentrated solar energy. It has been far easier to extract energy from plastic and burn the gas directly in an engine.
