A Short Video On Italian Dialects

A Short Video On Italian Dialects

This is project 1 of 2 for my class that literally took up my entire social life and sleeping schedule -.- hence the giant lack of videos!

So sit back and enjoy this half flash- half real life film on the various dialects of Italy!

  2. ” ‘E uagliun jucavn ndu parc, nu uaglion stev ngopp ‘a scal, è carut e s’è rutt ‘a cosc”
This is the NAPOLETANO version.. is very similar to MOLISANO but there are some little differences:
    -“I” is ” ‘E” (not a sick E but flowing)
-“nu” is “nDu” (only the “nu” near “parc”. The D is sick)
    -“cadut” is “carut”
    -“s’e” is “s’è” (with tonic E)
-the “s” sound in “scal” and “cosc” is pronounced “sh”(š)

  3. peni duri troppo duri per essere mangiati vanno cucinati cazzo!

  4. Whether classified as languages or dialects is not the main problem, they lack a definitive status because they are losing speakers. Language is also ever evolving, so there is no pure forms of language. I can find almost no information on the former languages/dialects of Abruzzo…

  5. Venetian is so different from Standard Italian it may as well be its own language.
